Roger Harris
Roger Harris is a senior staff specialist in the intensive care unit at the Royal North Shore hospital and the Sydney Adventist hospital (SAN). He is dual qualified in Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care. Roger is one of the co-founders of SMACC and Coda. He is passionate about education, his five children and especially his beautiful wife Georgie.
Reuben Strayer
Reuben Strayer was born on the shores of Lake Michigan but raised and schooled in Texas until emigrating to balmy Montreal for a residency in emergency medicine and is now based in New York City. His clinical areas of interest include airway management, analgesia, opioid misuse, procedural sedation, agitation, decision-making and error. His extra-clinical areas of interest include sweeping generalizations and jalapeno peppers. He lures himself out of bed with chocolate dipped in peanut butter before heading to Maimonides Medical Center, in Brooklyn, where he is happily employed.
Oliver Flower
Oliver Flower is a staff specialist in Intensive Care Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney. He, along with Roger Harris & Chris Nickson started SMACC and Coda; he came up with the name & logo, finding inspiration in a chewing gum packet, and is the driver behind the design, graphics, branding and marketing of SMACC and Coda. He is a believer in the power of the big crit care community and is a believer in Cadogan’s FOAMed ethos. He runs the educational and networking crit care website Intensive Care Network.
Liz Crowe
Liz Crowe has two and a half decades of expertise in grief, crisis, end of life care, bereavement work and staff wellbeing in pediatric critical care environments. Liz currently works at a tertiary adult hospital providing consultation, coaching, counselling and education for staff wellbeing. She is in the absolute final stages of completing her PhD examining risk and protective factors for staff wellbeing in critical care. Liz is a published academic involved in multiple research projects nationally and internationally focussing on the wellbeing of staff and the impact of COVID on clinicians. Liz is a passionate and humorous educator who regularly speaks internationally. Liz is the successful author of ‘The Little Book of Loss and Grief You Can Read While You Cry’. Ashley Liebig
Ashley is a division chief, nurse, helicopter rescue specialist, veteran, organizer, educator, author, friend, high strung, never sleeping, career procrastinator, wanna-be over achiever and most importantly; Mom.She is massively proud to be on the organizing committee for SMACC and SMACCFORCE, and loves her FOAM family.
