Covid, Vaccination & Medical Misinformation
Sepsis affects 50 million people annually and accounts for approximately 11 million deaths! However, despite these devastating statistics, progress in reducing the morbidity and mortality of sepsis has been limited. In stark contrast, it would seem that the response to the current COVID-19 pandemic has achieved more in 12 months than has been achieved in the last 20 years of sepsis campaigning.
Julie Leask is professor in the Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. Her research focuses on behavioural science in public health, specifically vaccination uptake, programs and policy. Professor Leask has a number of advisory roles with the World Health Organization including as chair of the Behavioural and Social Drivers of Vaccination working group. She is member of the Regional Vaccine Access and Health Security Initiative Expert Advisory Group for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.@JulieLeask
