Barbra Backus

Barbra Backus is a last year resident in emergency medicine at Albert Schweitzer hospital. Before starting her emergency medicine residency, she performed several years of research, resulting in her PhD in 2012. She was the lead investigator for the validation studies of the HEART score. Her work has changed the evaluation of chest pain at emergency departments worldwide.
She is a mother of two daughters and still an inspired researcher.
