Mark Shapiro, MD is the creator and host of Explore The Space Podcast, a show dedicated to topics that bring those providing healthcare closer to those who seek it. Explore The Space focuses on topics like climate change, gender equity, gun violence, leadership, and more. Mark is a full-time Hospitalist at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He is also Associate Medical Director and member of the Board of Directors of St. Joseph Health-Sonoma County in Santa Rosa, California. He received his undergraduate degree in history at University of California-Los Angeles, attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at University of California-San Diego.
